WIN & PLACE

Win Bet: When a wager is placed on a runner in an event to place in first position only – there is no payment for your chosen runner if it comes in second or third place.

Place Bet: When a wager is put on a place only – your bet will win if the selected runner finishes in the first three places if the field has eight or more runners. If there are less than 8 runners then your selection must finish either first or second.

Each way: Is to bet your runner for both a win and a place. If your runner wins you’ll collect money for both the win and place, however if your runner gets a place you will only collect money on the place.

EXOTIC BETS

Quinella: An exotic type bet which requires the selection of the first two place getters regardless of order.

Exacta: Exotic bet to select the first two finishers in a race in the exact order of finish.

Trifecta: An exotic type of wager picking the first three finishers in exact order of finish.

First Four: An exotic type of bet picking the first four finishers in exact sequence.

Quadrella: Is a wager which requires you to select the winners of 4 nominated races at a racing event. Also known as a ‘Quaddie’

Daily Double: Is a wager which requires you to correctly select the winner of the two nominated races at the meeting

Running Double: In order to win the running double you must correctly select the winner of two consecutive races at the one meeting.

MULTI BETS

All Up: An All-Up Bet is also known as a Multi, Accumulator or Parlay. For racing, an All-Up involves picking a maximum of four selections (Win or Place) in four different races. The prices of all selections (legs) are multiplied to determine the final dividend.

Treble: An exotic bet consisting of selections in 3 separate races, all of which must win for the wager to be successful.
